What do you do when your living room corner is taken up by an ugly electrical box? You build something nicer around it.

The Current Read is a handmade hardwood plywood corner bookshelf, designed and built entirely from scratch to conceal a fuse box and electricity meter — transforming an eyesore into a functional, illuminated display piece. Every joint, shelf, and curve was crafted by hand to fit the exact dimensions of the space, with integrated LED lighting to bring warmth to each compartment. The entire structure is joined without a single screw — the only exception being the wheels underneath, allowing the whole piece to roll away whenever meter access is needed.
